This post trip will take 5 nights and 6 days on the road between Quito and Cuenca.

Avenue of the Volcanoes
Train to devil´s nose
- We will drive on the famous Avenue of the Volcanoes, where we will visit a local artist, explore flower plantations and learn the truth about the intriguing Panama Hats.
Train to devil´s nose
- We will ride on the most emblematic Train route in Ecuador called the "Devil's Nose" and we will then stop at a family-run farm that grows cacao (cocoa plants), mango and citrus.
Cuenca
- Cuenca Ecuador is located in the Andes Mountains at an elevation of 8500 feet. The city is famous for its architecture, climate and people.
- Cuenca is popular among expats. There is a large population of retired North Americans (estimated 4,000) within the city.
Cajas National Park
We will also visit The Cajas National Park is a national park. Where about 270 lakes and lagoons can be found in the páramo of Cajas. The largest of these lake and extends over 78 hectares. We will spend only one hour at that altitude.

Weather at the Andes
Cajas: Cajas is located at 13,222 ft. The temperature in Cajas will vary between the low 40s and high 70s. So we recommend layers, (at least two) and rain gear.
Guayaquil: We will end at Guayaquil at sea level only to fly back to Quito´s Airport for our farewell and getting ready to take international flights.
- Cuenca: Located at 8,500 ft above sea level. The temperature doesn’t change enormously through the year, with an average daily temperature of 58 F. There is a rainy season and a dry season; but the weather in the Highlands of Ecuador is really variable and we can have rain and sun at the same time and on the same day!
Cajas: Cajas is located at 13,222 ft. The temperature in Cajas will vary between the low 40s and high 70s. So we recommend layers, (at least two) and rain gear.
